A project to hope of growing Gibier or wild game meats in the local areas of Japan

“Umaizo! Nippon (Taste Great! Japan)” is a program that aims to increase the consumption of wild game and contribute to the branding thereof by enabling consumers to enjoy delicious game meats at restaurants and shops in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area.
A great deal of damage is dealt by wild animals to agricultural products every year, primarily in mountainous areas, with the majority of the damage caused by wild boar and deer. A new trend is developing throughout Japan to find a solution to this problem through the sale of wild game as a food product. The initiative also aims for the further revitalization of rural communities.
